Tigerland (2000)
Many people refer to this film as the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest of Vietnam. It's about a group of solders training for war in Tigerland; a jungle-like stretch of land in Louisiana used to prepare solders for the rough terrain ahead of them. The solders are pushed to their limits and a reluctant leader soon emerges. The film is a nice departure from your typical Vietnam movie as it stays true to the era and gives the viewer a different perspective on combat and the men who fought for our country. This is Schumacher trying to gain back respect and doing a damn fine job at it. (Directed by Joel Schumacher)
