The Princess Bride (1987)

Nominated for the Academy Award for song. Few fantasy/romance movies ever even get a glimpse of what the cult following that this film has looks like. It's the love story between a princess and a pirate; the princess being forced to marry into royalty she hates and the pirate testing all of his wits to rescue her. Very cute movie to watch, again, with a date. (Directed by Rob Reiner)
