The King of Comedy (1983)

De Niro plays a comedian who does everything he can think of to get noticed. After being rejected from a talk show appearance, he kidnaps the host and pleas for attention. Overall, the comedy is very black and probably won’t be appreciated by all audiences, but certainly presents the kind of cinema that has made Scorsese famous. (Directed by Martin Scorsese)
