The Color of Money (1986)

Won the Academy Award for actor. Nominated for art direction/set decoration, screenplay based from previous material and supporting actress. Actually a sequel to the 1961 film, The Hustler, also with Paul Newman. This film is about an old pool hustler who meets a kid who seems to be a younger version of himself. Together they travel the country hustling pool halls. The sequel is strong and holds true to what the original masterpiece started. Tom Cruise performed all but one of the trick shots himself, the one being a shot that jumped two balls to sink another. (Directed by Martin Scorsese)
