The Cars That Ate Paris (1974)

Ever wonder how little small towns in the middle of no where make their money? This film proposes an interesting idea. Paris, a small rural town in Australia, makes its income by causing auto accidents to the people passing through and salvages the car parts. Pretty dark and reported to be pretty bad from the few who've seen it. The full-length version of this film didn’t make it into America until 1984. Until then a shorter edited cut was used. (Written and directed by Peter Weir)
