Jackie Brown (1997)
Nominated for the Academy Award for supporting actor. Another incredible Tarantino flick. This one is based from the Elmore Leonard novel, Rum Punch. In it, Jackie Brown is a flight attendant who is smuggling cash for an illegal firearms dealer.
When the heat comes down on her for it, she rats out everybody she can to save her skin. A lot of people were disappointed by this movie siting that it was slower paced than Tarantino’s other projects. I guess it all depends in what you are looking for. The story is smart, the characters are great, and if you could just sit down and be patient, you might actually enjoy yourself. It's nice to see Tarantino pick up a more dramatic flair.
