Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995)
Eight years after his first Die Hard, McTiernan rounds out the action trilogy. The film still centers around John McClane, and this time he is tormented by the brother of the German terrorist that he killed in the first film. The brother uses deadly games and riddles to distract McClane while he robs the national gold deposit of all of it's wealth. Interesting fact number one: the idea for this movie was originally going to be used as the third installment of the Lethal Weapon franchise. Interesting fact number two: the script for Speed 2 was reportably originally written for the Die Hard series, but was dropped. (Directed by John McTiernan)
